Do You Know What Faith Is?
According to Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith believes in God's word in spite of the situations that materialize in the physical world.
You may not be able to see faith, but it is there. Faith is a spiritual force. God sees and knows our weak points. He also knows that our faith will develop and grow up in Him.
Be that as it may, there are times when life tests us with life challenges, and it is our faith that God is looking for to make that thing that we want to happen to materialize.
Test and Trials
The Bible says, "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy." 1 Peter 4:12 - 13
For this reason, we need to live by faith to carry us through life's trials and tests. Tests and trials will help you grow your patience and stand firm in your faith.
You can develop a beautiful relationship with God through your trials and tests by spending devotional time with God.
Moreover, you can receive what God has to offer that is stable and will last throughout all the ages. You can find stillness and bliss by allowing Jesus to come into your heart.
What the world has to offer is only temporary, but what God has to offer is forever, and that is eternal life.
Have Faith in the Heavenly Father
In Romans 10:17 it says that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. What exactly does it mean to have faith in the Heavenly father?
Important to realize, you have to have faith in the deeds that God challenges and wants from those that believe in Jesus.
To illustrate, once you accept and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior and believe that He died on the cross to shed His blood for you, then that act of faith will release the blessing of eternal life with God forever.
Therefore, by you having faith in those stripes that Jesus bore for you, your healing and every other negative thing that goes on in your life, and receive his gift as yours, the faith that you have will release the blessings of healing and other positive things that you are asking for in your life.
Isaiah 43:5 says, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."
According to 2 Corinthians 1:20 "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."
If you act on His promises and trust that your acts will release the blessing of abundance that is in those promises, then what you are asking for is done.
The two things that can hinder faith is doubt and unbelief
Check out Mark 11:22-25 “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."
As you mature in God, you will see more of these manifestations of God’s blessings in your life.
According to Psalm 115:13 He will bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great.
God’s word is full of life and abundance, and that is why according to Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Put God First Place in Your Life
You have to put God’s word first place in your life if you expect to grow and build your faith in God.
For this reason, taking the time to spend with the Lord on a consistent, daily basis will help you develop your relationship with the Heavenly Father.
By spending time daily with the Lord, He will help you maintain your heart on God and the living power of God Almighty.
To begin with, you can start an early morning session of reading your scriptures and absorbing what you are reading.
Next, you can spend time with the Lord in prayer throughout the day.
Finally, you can do 10 to 20-minute sessions where you quietly meditate on everything that God has done for you past, present and future.
